Why do you need Google Health Connect?
FIT-UP currently supports the Automatic synchronization the Activities and Steps of smartwatches from the brands Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Fitbit and Apple.
However, as there are a large number of manufacturers of wearables, it is not possible for us to integrate all manufacturers directly into FIT-UP.
For Android User takes over Google Health Connect plays an important role in this by tracking your fitness data - such as steps and activity automatically synchronized with FIT-UP. This saves you having to enter data manually and allows you to analyze your performance data directly in the app and take part in challenges.
Depending on whether you use a smartwatch or just your smartphone, there are different options:
- If you have a direct Supported smartwatch (Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Fitbit, Apple), simply go to the FIT-UP settings and Link your smartwatch directly with your login data.
- If you No smartwatch and would like to record your steps, follow Step 1 (Install Google Fit).
- If you a smartwatch or a third-party app uses the from FIT-UP not direct Supports will follow Step 2 (Install Health Connect).
1. install and set up Google Fit (optional)
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Search for Google Fit and install the app.
- Set up Google Fit and activate step tracking.

2. install and set up Health Connect
Health Connect is already pre-installed on newer Android smartphones (from Android 14). If it is not yet available, install it from the Play Store.

When setting up, please make sure that you allow Google Fit access to your relevant data. You can check this at any time in Health Connect.
3. connect FIT-UP with Health Connect
- Open the connection settings in FIT-UP: Profile > Settings (cogwheel symbol) > Connectivity & devices.
- Choose Health Connect > Connect
- Allow FIT-UP to Access to Health Connect
- Check the Access authorizations in Health Connect and adjust them if necessary
4. connect the manufacturer app with Health Connect
This is the last step in which you connect your smartwatch manufacturer's app with Health Connect. This allows your smartwatch activities to be automatically synchronized with FIT-UP via Health Connect. It is important that Health Connect supports integration with your provider. Now your activities are automatically transmitted from your smartwatch to FIT-UP via the manufacturer's app via Health Connect, without you having to enter them manually!
To make sure that everything is working properly, please go to your activities in the FIT-UP app and see if you can already see data in your history.
If you have carried out the steps in a different order and still do not see any activity, logging out of the FIT-UP app and logging in again could solve the problem.
